Founded in 2004, Medi-Weightloss Clinics^® is among the most exciting investment opportunities available in the market today. Founder and CEO, Edward Kaloust, an inveterate diet and health enthusiast with a 40-year career in the finance industry, along with Carol Balkcom, Executive Vice President, researched the growing epidemic of obesity and discovered that Americans spend billions of dollars annually on weight loss programs and products only to eventually regain most of the weight. After retiring from a successful career in financial services, Mr. Kaloust decided to dedicate the remainder of his career to his vision of providing a medically sound, effective, and complete program for obesity and overweight treatment.

To manage the daily operations of Medi-Weightloss Clinics^®, Mr. Kaloust enlisted the support of long-time friend, James Edlund, who is the former CEO of OBGYN.net, the largest OB/GYN practitioner and patient website in the United States. Edlund has also been the President or CEO of several nationally known medical and diagnostic companies.

With Mr. Edlund’s expertise in business development, including operations, budget planning, long-range strategic planning, product development, sales, management, marketing, coupled with Mr. Kaloust’s knowledge and expertise in finance and executive management, they have created a franchise system that gives the tools and information necessary to provide a turn-key program that enables franchisees to open a Medi-Weightloss Clinics^® Franchise within 90 days.

Participating physicians employed by or affiliated with the franchisee follow guidelines for our proprietary weight loss program, the Medi-Weightloss Clinics^® Program. Physicians treat patients individually, using medical guidelines and sound medicine. Dr. Edward Zbella, who operates one of our affiliates, Bariatric Medical Seminars, LLC, is retained to provide the medical training for the Medi-Weightloss Clinics^® Program, including consultation with the participating physicians and continuing education to keep physicians and medical professionals current and in compliance with sound medical guidelines and research. In addition to the medical guidelines and start-up, the Medi-Weightloss Clinics^® System provides the tools and information necessary for our web-based management systems.
